The Awakenings Preparatory Academy

A good education does not happen by accident.  No two students are the same, therefore it is critical that their individuality be considered at every point of their instruction.  We believe that each student deserves to receive an education based upon individually designed curriculum plans that drive classroom instruction.   All education should be strategically guided with social outcomes in mind and it should be college preparatory in nature.  Awakenings has developed such an educational approach.

Students receive strategically designed academic instruction based upon precision evaluation of their aptitude, social positioning, and set goals. 

Two educational realities drive the Awakenings approach to academics:  Smaller class sizes afford more time for hands on instruction AND peer to peer learning is highly effective.

Awakenings has reinstituted the one room schoolhouse concept with a modern twist. By smartly implementing technology and modestly implementing aspects of the Sudbury educational approach, we maximize peer-to-peer teaching and foster a learning environment based on partnerships with the classroom authority.

The Awakenings curriculum maximizes and provides college counseling and placement/career assistance services to our students.

Our hybrid instructional model—offering both in‑person learning and fully online participation—allows us to operate with greater efficiency and flexibility.
